About Us
Buy Far North website has come about as a direct result of the Far North Economic Development Summit held in late 2005 at Ōmāpere. The outcome of the summit was the 'Far North Local Economic Development Strategy: 2006 - 2009' which was subsequently adopted by Far North District Council in 2006.
Strategy's Primary Objective
"To contribute to a strong, growing, and sustainable District economy that makes a tangible and positive difference to the people of the Far North across the District".
To help achieve this objective a number of practical initiatives where contained within the strategy of which the Buy Far North website is one such initiative.
